Pianist, Composer, Instructor
A native of the Montmartre district of Paris, my name is Jérémie Henan, I’m a pianist graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP).
After spending the early part of my life in Paris, playing in jazz clubs and releasing a collection of compositions, including my first album “Rêverie”, my love for jazz and New Orleans prompted me to move to the Crescent City. Today, I reside there and am actively involved in the city’s vibrant music scene.
My Album "Rêverie"
“Rêverie” is my first album of original compositions, a synchretism of my Jazz and Classical influences, that tells dreams, life stories and my early life in Paris.
I recorded it at Debussy’s Birthplace in Saint-Germain en-Laye in 2021 with Géraud Portal on the Double-Bass and Raphael Pannier at the Drums.
Have always loved teaching piano and sharing my passion for this instrument and jazz, and find that teaching is part of a virtuous circle for a musician and for me.
For the past 10 years, I accumulated many experiences as an professor in differents schools and academies like the Messiaen Conservatory, and more recently at Loyola University and Tulane University.
I’m now happy to offer piano lessons in my own music studio (see picture) Uptown in New Orleans and/or Online.
